pics from the honeymoon...

John and I had a great vacation. We started out in Newport Beach, CA at the Marriott. Some wonderful friends of ours set us up on the 16th floor Presidential Suite! It was amazing, it had living room, kitchen, dining, guest bath, and master suite, with 2 plasma TVs and a fireplace, plus a very long balcony overlooking all of newport and balboa island! take a look!

our view from the balcony!

The saturday night after the wedding, we were thinking about eating dinner down in Newport or Laguna, but then we realized that we couldn't be our view, so we ordered from the steakhouse downstairs. It was amazing!

John really enjoyed it!

it was the best steak I have ever had!

This was what we enjoyed with dinner, a beautiful Southern California sunset, it was the perfect night!

The next morning we woke up early, jumped in our rented H3 and headed to LAX. We got to the airport had some minor problems...haha, not really, John ended up being on a no fly list? whatever that means, luckily we were able to leave the country, but apparently it is only by them checking with Homeland Security. Real fun! But we made it to the plane and headed to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico!

what we were welcomed with in Mexico! How cute!

a pacific ocean sunset and the view from our room!

just about ready to hit the beach!

a walk on the beach at sunset

this a pic of John stuffing his face at the Mexican restaurant. Surprisingly it was our favorite place to eat and I think most of you know I am not a fan of Mexican food, but it was delicious! There was a steakhouse, italian, seafood, mexican, and a world cafe that had everything, plus 24 hour room service! Let me tell you All-inclusive is the way to go!

us on the beach!

us under a little hut!

After the 7 days we knew we needed to head back to reality. We got picked up, headed to the airport, and stood in line to get home. Yes, they had to call Homeland Security again, and fortunately they let us get back into the country! The best part was, the way home we ended up getting first class! It was awesome!

Update on Oklahoma...

Well, hello everyone from Oklahoma! Just wanted to give you and update on what we have been doing here in Oklahoma. We have officially been here just about 3 weeks now and are making huge progress on our house. We were so surprised to come home from California and our parents had paid to have the entire house textured! For those of you that don't know before the wedding a bunch of us ripped down wallpaper and John and his friends scrapped popcorn off of the all the ceilings. So it was so excited to have it all textured, that was going to be a huge undertaking. The next couple of days we made plenty of trips to home depot for paint and misc. supplies. Chosing colors was a very fun task, we went with blue for our bedroom and bath, a light mocha for the living room, green for John's office, a darker mocha for the guest bedroom, brown for the guest bath, and orange (yes, I said orange) for the kitchen. It was so funny how we chose the orange, it was midnight and it felt like we had been looking at colors for hours, suddenly I said, "what if we did orange?" John, said ok. I was tired and wanted to go to bed, after we bought the paint I realized what I had done....John went to OSU (colors black and orange) haha! But the color apparently is closer to a Tennesse orange than OSU. I love it though! We accented with green and made the ceiling peach to tone down the orange a bit. We both LOVE it! I'll put pictures up just as soon as I can. Well, after all the painting was done we called the carpet people and now we feel like we have a house! We brought in the furniture and it is really becoming a home. We are living with some concrete though, they had carpet in places we are going to eventually do wood floors, we just need to save a bit more before we get those in! So our little home in OK is coming together! We miss you all like crazy in california and can't wait for you to come visit!!! Much Love!
